It always takes me by surprise when a complete stranger blesses me when I sneeze.
Case in question: on the train this morning, sneezed and this school girl sitting across from me with an ipod plugged in, legs casually stretched across two seats issues a 'bless you!' Twice!
That never happened to me in london. But there was a time when I was bawling on the tube and two lovely girls passed me a tissue. I think it was more out of the fact that they couldn't stand the sight of the snot streaming down my face, rather than out of sympathy. Gross you say? Definitely. And an act of kindness I won't forget.
